Christmas Sampler

I "lifted" this idea from Jeannine. I love the one she made so I did my best to recreate it. I'm thinking I'd like to make one for each of the seasons.
Supplies:
16 X 20 frame
red and ivory poster paper
SU! Christmas Jingle scrapbook kit
SU! Merry Moments scrapbook paper
Cricut: Jubilee
Cut red paper 16 X 20
Cut ivory paper 12 X 16
Cut background rectangles 2 1/4" X 2 1/2"
Add embellishments and stickers as desired

Hospital Thank Yous

I recently had surgery and had many friends bring me flowers, gifts and meals. These are cards I made from one of my gifts from Jeannine. She brought me paper and embellishments from Making Memories.

Heather's Thank Yous

Heather liked the Thank You cards I made for her engagement party so much that she ordered 50 more from me. I was thrilled to have the excuse to spend some quality time in my craft room so thanks to Heather fro the opportunity.

Cricut: Home Accents

I went to Paper Pals to get some inspiration and fell in love with this Earth Love paper and embellishments by Cosmos Cricket.

My Cluttered Workspace

What starts off as a nice clean 4' X 3' work area usually get's whittled down to a 6" X 6" area when I'm all through crafting. After my latest stamping frenzy that's precisely what I ended up with. One of these days I will have the beautifully organized craft rooms but for now I'll take what I can get.

For Heather

Cricut: Storybook

My friend and high school classmate, Heather Stephenson, recently had an engagement party in Libby. I haven't seen Heather since our 10 year reunion and thanks to Facebook we have recently gotten in touch again. I decided to make her a bunch of Thank You cards as I knew she'd be traveling by plane and didn't want to overload her with a heavy crystal salad bowl.

I love this paper but it's so busy in itself that I just stamped the Thank You right on top of it.

Our friend and fellow GAB bookclub member, Faye Williams, had a baby girl this summer, Marie Isabelle. It was so fun to see the little pink pixie at her baby shower. Along with some new baby outfits (I couldn't help myself as it's been forever since I've browsed the baby section) I made her these thank you cards.

Wife Cards

SU! Spring Summer 2009 pg. 108

My Wife Cards have gone over really well which makes me happy. I try and make more then one at a time so when I hear of a man who's having a birthday I can quick go through my stash and put together the package for them.

Cricut: Wild Card

For my cousin Kristin Huffman graduating from Bothell High School in Bothell WA

Summer CD Challenge

Made CD Label with Click n Design and imported my own background. I scanned in SU!'s Flamingo paper so I could size it to what I needed and also because I didn't have enough paper to make 8 cd covers.

Inside cover: Wrote song titles over background paper using Microsoft Publisher and inserted small picture of the same photo used for CD label. I made a pocket for the cd by sewing it into place.

Cover size 5 1/2" X 5 1/2"

WHAT IS A SUMMER CD CHALLENGE???

My friend Jackie Carter puts together these great cd challenges. She basically comes up with a theme - summer in this case - and then comes up with certain criteria such as: finding a song with "ocean" in the title or content, a cruising song, song that evokes a special summer memory etc. Our title had to be a song lyric from the 5th song on our cd which for me happens to be Radio Song by REM.

It was a lot of fun putting it together and I'm looking forward to see what others have put on their CD.

End of the Year Teacher Gifts

Pattern: Butterick 4410
Aprons and purses made for both 6th grade teachers and Annabelle's teacher.

Pattern: Simplicity 3752
Annebelle went with me to the fabric store and she picked out all the fabric. I was a little hesitant about this combo but it turned out great! This one is for Mrs. Pannkuk.

Mrs. Arden's set.

Josie asked Mrs. Mock what her favorite colors were and she replied 'reds, oranges and yellows' which worked out perfect as we had already bought this fabric.

Cards - Spring 2009

Here's some cards I've made throughout April and May.

Cricut: Tinkerbell

For my friend Jeannine. We always have fun spotting owl and mushroom items because a while ago we noticed that what was once old is now new. We then joked how funny it would be if the 1970's owl and mushroom made a comeback and sure enough, they have!

Card made for the 6th grader movie basket they put together for a silent auction.

Cricut: Tinkerbell

These two cards went to Leslie and Bonnie. They are both fond of fairies. I also wanted to play with the Tinkerbell Cricut cartridge I bought. I love the silhouettes.

Annabelle's class basket for the silent auction was beach themed so I made a set for that as well.
