September 2012 - pt. 1
A friend gave me a ton of hand me down clothes for my daughter so as a "thank you" I told her I'd make her some cards. She requested birthday cards. Once I started making them I realized that my mom-in-law and sis-in-law had birthdays coming up so I made four of each card to give them as gifts.
After taking these pictures and downloading them I noticed my camera lens had fingerprints on it which gives it the pics a dull, unfocused look. I'll fix that for next time.

October Cards Galore pt. 1

We had 6 houseguests come and stay with us this month and I made them all goodie bags with these cards included. They are a traveling crew adn I thought they might like something that they could send home while on the road. They each recieved 4 cards: a thank you, happy birthday, thinking of you and a blank one. Most of these cards were used from Operation Write Home Sketches.

Grace Notes

So Happy For You
I belong to a church mission group called Grace Notes. We meet a couple of Thursdays a month at the First United Methodist Church in Moscow. There we spend several hours creating greeting cards for shut-ins, church staff and cards that go on sale to the general public for a donation. Money recieved from the sales go towards certain causes. It's a wonderful group that gathers and we have lots of fun crafting and visiting.

Birthday Wishes
I love making cards anyway so it's a great excuse to spend an hour here or there at home just to make extras to take to Grace Notes. This month I was inspired to make Father's Day and wedding cards, as well as the usual all-occasion variety. It's also a great way to use up any extra paper and embellishments I still have lying around.
