Happy Halloween 2010

I love Halloween for crafting. I love the colors and the many different papers and accessories that are Halloween themed. I made another frame for our living room wall. Now that I have the template down this project took just over an hour.

Ready to Create!

I'm getting the urge to scrapbook so that can only mean one thing: that the bi-annual scrapbook retreat is just around the corner. Yay! After every retreat I swear I'm going to stay on top of my scrapbooks but then another 6 months goes by and I haven't touched them.

I have, however, been making cards like a mad woman. Aside from the plethora of Thank Yous we need to dispense after Nate's stroke, there have been many other Get Well cards and sadly, Sympathy cards that have had to be sent out as well. It has been a weird summer that way.

In Blogger housekeeping news I've added Color Inspiration to my link sites. After figuring out a layout, finding the perfect color scheme is second on my lists of road blocks. I just went through the latest issue of Creating Keepsakes and there were some great sites listed so rather than thinking I will remember them I went ahead and added them to my blog.

Thank You, Traci

Lifted from SU! 2009-2010 catalog
Our friend, Traci Hacker, stopped by with some delicious Guiness cupcakes - that's right, cupcakes made with Guiness beer and Bailey's Irish Cream frosting - in a cute cupcake tote. Now the etiquette goes that when you return a baking dish (or cupcake tote) to the owner you're not supposed to return it empty. There's no way I could compete with cupcakes as yummy as hers so I decided to thank her by making a set of cards.

Debbie Kuntz, the lady who organizes these scrap retreats always has prizes to give away. I won a huge slab of paper and used a lot of those sheets on my pages.

These are pages I did while scrapping at the Palouse Divide Lodge in March. A great time was had by all yet again.

Most of my inspiration came from sketches and layouts from Creating Keepsakes magazines.

Thank goodness I have these albums to remind me of how much fun (and stressful) it was. It will sure tide me over until we can go back again.

Bought this album at Michael's as I had run out of room in the other album. This made me happy though as it meant I had taken lots of photos.

Blogger is being finicky today so I need to post these in little bits. I did our WDW albums last fall within weeks of our vacation. Most opf my inspiration came from sketches.

I purchased the album in Epcot on our last day in Disney.
